Day 4 ~ 99.08.26 ~ Blacon Cemetery I
The crew of Lancaster aircraft # KB 879 --  F/L. W.G. Campbell, WO2 T.D. Lawley, Sgt. J.H. Kay, FS.s S. Berryman, J.L. Tweedy, and E.J. Wright  are all  are buried at Blacon Cemetery, Chester in the Canadian military cemetery which is beautifully maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. RAF Flight Sergeant, Graham Ward is buried in his Scottish homeland.

Thanks to Sandon Legion Chairman, Robert Selby, who took time to drive us to the cemetery,  Louise Hillman realized a lifetime dream -- to visit kid-brother Bill's grave. The headstone markers of the Lancaster crew are the first ones visible as one enters through the cemetery gate.

Please enter here to see close-up photos of the
memorial headstones of each of the six crewmembers.
