Interestingly many Web pages across the Internet have used info and photos from my Chad Allan tribute.
In fact, at least three major sites have mistakenly used and identified
a photo of myself holding my first Silvertone/Sears guitar as that of Chad Allan : )

ROCK-OLA: KING OF THE JUKEBOXES
It was a thrill to see the beautiful Rock-ola jukebox on display. For most of us the glowing radio dial and the brilliantly lit jukebox were at the heart of the music that inspired us in our youth. My experiences with "the juke" go beyond those of most. Kerry Morris who played drums and bass with us for many years also had an arcade business and it was always a treat to see the behind-the-scenes workin's of these mysterious machines.

Later I spent much time in Tarzana, California at the home of Danton Burroughs - grandson of the author, Edgar Rice Burroughs. Dan had amassed a huge collection of rare jukeboxes and they ringed the main room in his huge "Pscho-style" home. Each was stocked with a selection of old blues, doo-wop and rock 'n' roll. He would amaze visitors by throwing a master switch which lit up every one of the machines in his house. Sadly he died at way too young an age in 2008. I was honoured to give a eulogy at his memorial service on Ventura Boulevard.
